it already did expire. the expiration dat is the date that you have to take action. whether that action is letting the court know that your fighting it or pay it. if you plan on taking it to court you have to let them know by the expiration date and then the court date will be 5/9. your tickets expired and youll probably have to pay a late fee

Waiting for the Maglev

The Shanghai Maglev train costs 50 RMB (80 round trip, less a discount if you show a ticket for a flight from Pudong airport) which is under . It’s a 31km track that takes 8 minutes to traverse with a top speed of 430km/h.

I think I was the only train nerd going just for the ride. Most people had flights to catch.

One of the real highlights of the holiday…..

A man and woman in this Ford Fusion decided to park illegally outside the Montparnasse station on a subday afternoon (there was a car park 20m away, but I guess they wanted to save the 3 Euro fee).

The Police turned up in a matter of minutes and proceeded to give the vehicle a ticket. They hung around, calling up someone on their radios. We were hoping they were calling a tow-truck, but to no avail. The owner then came sprinting back and a heated debate proceeded.

The young lady of the car suantered up, with obvious disdain for the Police. Anyway, they accepted their fine, and the Police pulled off in their van.

THIS IS THE BEST BIT…….

The Ford Fusion driver pulls away sharply, and overtakes (within the speed limit I must add) the Police van – wherupon THE STUPID WOMAN PROCEEDS TO GIVE THE POLICE THE OLD ONE-FINGER SALUTE!!

(Cue Sirens)

The Police were evidentally non-plussed by this gallic gesticulation, and pulled them over….. They must have been in a whole heap of trouble – they were there for about 45 mins with the Police on their radios again. We assume that their car was towed, and they were invited down to the station for a chat.

It tickled us anyway…..

Temple of Ceres. There was a northern entrance to the Paestum complex, but the ticket person’s broken Italian made it sound like we needed to go to the buy tickets at the museum first, and then enter from teh south entrance. So we rushed over to do the Paestum Archaeological Museum at breakneck speed (as the bus was meeting us again in an hour).

Vignette is from lens, poor focus and distortions caused by lens. The tripod clamp to hold the iPhone that came with it is unusable. It’s kind of cool, but I expected a little more quality than this. A .00 pair of binoculars is 10X better quality.
It does make the iPhone an instant Lomo with no app required.
My only edits are crop and a very little color adjustment to some.
